Magnify it!

I got inspired by Shannon's post here using magnifying glasses to find sight words. I knew it would be easy to do in groups for articulation. My littles love anything new, so I grabbed the magnifying glasses from the science room and off we went!

i speech

My kiddos are pretty crazy about their ipods and ipads. I made this quick game to use with either articulation clients or while working on categories. Each student draws a card. If the card lists a category the student names items in that category. If they are working on articulation, they have to name items in the category with their target sound. If you draw an ipod with a cracked screen you have to give back all your cards!

Happy Friday!

Candy Corn Verbs

I saw a teacher using candy corn for math facts on pinterest. It inspired me to make a something similar for grammar. A lot of my little guys are working on irregular verbs.

Download it here!

Enjoy!

Hello, World.

You gotta start somewhere.

Ok. Lets just be honest. I'm obsessed with cruising blogs and pinterest. I am greedy. I want to steal your great ideas! And since I have been so inspired by all of you creative teachers and SLP's, I've decided to take the plunge. I'm officially a BLOGGER.

There are pretty much two things that make me want to create speech and language materials for my kids. 1. I like to craft. 2 I'm cheap. If I can make something I need without buying it for big bucks I'm happy!
Last year was my first year as a school SLP and now that I'm back for year #2 my students are just not that impressed with the same old song and dance. As I create materials for myself, I am sharing them with you! I hope that you will share your amazing ideas back with me!
