Spring Articulation {with freebie}

We're in the home stretch of the school year. If you're like me and working this summer, you can't quite turn off your speech brain just because it's May! To get my through May, I whipped up this set of articulation cards for Spring using adorable little birds! 

My articulation packets are split by 'later sounds' and 'earlier sounds'.  Let's start with the later sounds packet. The huge packets includes 75 pages of articulation card games (hint: print them half size to save ink!) This later sounds pack features 384 color pictures, using smarty symbols, for S, L, TH, SH, CH, J, R, S blends, L blends. There are 12 cards in the initial, medial and final position for each sound. The R sound includes 12 prevocalic, and 12 of each vocalic /r/ sound in mixed positions. 

Not be left out, I have a set for the 'early' sounds too!  The 'Earlier Sounds' packet features initial and final positions of P,B,M,K,G,T,D,F,V. The packet is 46 pages with 216 color pictures using Smarty Symbols.

I also pulled out the 'L' sounds so you can have them as a preview of the activity! Perfect to send home for practice with any kiddos working on 'L'.

Monday is Earth Day! I didn't have time to make anything this year for Earth Day, so I headed to Teachers Pay Teachers and found some freebies for my students. I linked 12 of my favorite freebies below! All credits go to the original authors, listed by the items! 

Earth Day Sequencing, by Maggie Lewis. This activity focuses on sequencing by different attributes. 

Earth Day Math Freebie by Games 4 Learning. These simple dice games are good reinforcers for articulation groups and while sneaking in some math skills. 

Earth Day Patterns, by D Conway. Make this a game by putting the pattern completion cards in a bucket. Children draw cards and try to find the card they need to complete their patterns. 

Earth Day Word Work, by Sunny Days. Use these vocabulary word worksheets. 

Earth Day Social Problem Solving, by CC. These social problem solving cards will leave with plenty to discuss with your social groups! 

Celebrate Earth Day Reinforcer!, by Simply Speech. This game is perfect for ALL your groups! 

Everyday is Earth Day Game, by Mary Carr. This matching game will help kids identify the best ways to help the environments! 

Earth Day Facts & Task Cards, by Sunny Days. These cards are great conversation starters. 

Earth Day Mini-Unit, by Rachelle Smith. Huge unit with tons of activities!  My favorite is 'Is it a sentence?'

Earth Day Bingo, by Jason's Online Classroom. Bingo is a great way to work on vocabulary with your students! 

Earth Day Craftivity, by The Lesson Plan Diva. This adorable craft can be used for anyone! Great for classifying types of ideas. 

Earth Day Report Card, by Runde's Room. This is a great activity for problem solving!

Is it me, or is the week after Spring Break a total workout? I'm totally wiped out! Thanks to all of you who have requested language packets that match the spring grammar unit. I've got the Expressive Language version of Carrotville completed! I'm so excited about this clipart. I love the veggies and bunnies that are appropriate for all of Spring!

The activities center around the Carrotville board game. Two ways to play are included. The first option features specific skill development, while the second features carryover of language skills by targeting mixed stimulus cards.

Game point and score cards are included. Each type of building corresponds to a language activity to complete. When students land on a building they answer the corresponding questions.

Compare & Contrast (24 cards) Identifying features that are the same/different for the listed items
Retelling Familiar Sequences (18 cards) Tell the steps in sequence to complete the given task

Spring Fever

It's Friday!

And for me that means Spring Break next week plus Monday!

And I really mean a BREAK!!! I'm really excited to give myself a full week 'unplugged.'

I scheduled some posts to run during the next week... a review, a tutorial and some new units. But I'm planning to totally unplug from life! So if Blogger doesn't post them right, or something weird happens. Just hang tight! I'll see you after a week of bliss! Hope you're unplugging too!
